This recipe outlines our favorite, which includes dried cranberries and toasted, sliced almonds - but with this timeless classic the variations are endless. Easy to make, easier to enjoy, we promise this Baked Brie will disappear in seconds!
Ingredients
1/2 to 3/4 jar of Grey Goose Gourmet Cranberry Orange Clove or Hot Apricot Pepper Jelly (or your favorite variety!)
1 Brie cheese wheel, 16oz. size
1 sheet frozen Puff Pastry dough, thawed
1 egg
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup toasted, sliced almonds
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400°.
On a floured surface, roll pastry dough to 14” - 16” and trim the edges slightly to create a circle. Save pastry trimmings for later.
Spoon Grey Goose Gourmet pepper jelly into the center of pastry; leaving 2” - 3” of clean dough along the outer edges.
Evenly top the pepper jelly with almonds and cranberries.
In a small bowl, create an egg wash by whisking the egg with 1 tsp. water. Set this aside to serve as pastry “glue” and glaze.
Place brie cheese wheel on layers of pepper jelly, almonds, and cranberries. Brush the outer edge of pastry with egg wash.
Fold the edges up and around the brie to seal completely - the better the seal, the less leakage while baking.
Place the sealed pastry seam-side down onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a non-stick spray.
Use the dough trimmings to decorate the pastry.
Brush the entire pastry with the remaining egg wash.
Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until light-medium golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly before cutting into, so the cheese does not escape the pastry!
