GGG Pulled Pork

Who doesn’t love an easy crock pot pulled pork?! (Sorry, vegetarian friends!) Set the timer on low and don’t lift the lid… you will be tempted! The savory aromas of this recipe are ~ almost ~ as delectable as the final outcome. A perfect game-day meal, party pleaser, or for cozy days at home… this pulled pork freezes wonderfully, so don’t be afraid to make ahead.

Ingredients

6 - 8lb. pork butt or shoulder

1 jar of Grey Goose Gourmet FROG pepper jelly

1 medium yellow onion, diced

8 - 12oz. uncooked bacon, diced

Salt & pepper, and/or your favorite seasonings

Directions

Place the pork, fat-side down, into your largest crock pot.

Cover the top and sides with the FROG pepper jelly.

Add onions and bacon, should stick nicely to the pepper jelly.

Season with salt & pepper, and/or other seasonings.

Put on the lid and cook on low for 6 - 10 hours (until the pork starts to fall apart).

Shred pork with two forks. ENJOY!

Other Tips

We choose to make this with our FROG pepper jelly, but it’s delicious with our “hotter” varieties, as well as Roasted Garlic & Onion.

While happily eaten plain with a fork, enjoy in buns, over rice or noodles, or as a salad topping. Let us know if you try something new!

The first photo above shows our pork going into the crock pot with cooked bacon (that’s all we had on hand!) and while it still turns out delicious, we highly recommend using uncooked bacon for full flavor.
